None yet...I guess we will just have to wait and watch.

I'll post a copy up on the board tonight for your out of country members and those unfortunate enough to miss the show.

Just one more segment over here in the CST...hopefully the crowd will be appreciative--I saw quite a few paunchy stomachs in one of the audience shots.

Just thankful that Alex didn't crash on his final leap from the speaker right now!

Paul Schaeffer just called them "very original."

Awesome!

I'm converting the segment now so that I can upload it.

Alex was all over that stage. You could tell he wanted to get closer to the crowd. The camera guy had his work cut out for him chasing Alex around.

I don't know--it seems to me that he must watch a ton of bands coming through that show, so something different would warrant a comment like that. I would say he was playing it straight.

I think the comment was kinda in between. I mean, he's not gonna say "I think they're terrible," but he did have to say something since Dave asked.

Since we are discussing the show. I didn't want to say this at first, but now I will. I haven't watched that show in a long time. And sitting through it waiting for the bot was excrutiatingly painful. I hadn't noticed how much the Letterman show sucked lately. My friend Kevin said that Thursday night in the studio when I mentioned that they were gonna be on the Letterman show. I thought it was because Kevin is young, but shit he was right. That "Stump Paul" skit was downright ridiculous, and what the hell was with that "If It Floats"? Whoopi was cool as always, but I can't believe she's a grandma.:o Which brings me to my conclusion. CBS, and Letterman have all gone Geriatric (which CBS has always been). I even told my mom to check it out, and she was my litmus test. She really didnt' get the Bot , but that's cool I didnt' expect her too, and she's the same age as Dave, Whoopi, Paul, and most of the CBS viewers. In my hopes, I always wanted the boys to land on Conan which is OUR demographic, but exposure is exposure even if it is on a replication/hybrid of Ed Sullivan, and The Price Is Right.

Now the ultimate dream is "IMA ROBOT on Saturday Night Live with your host....Neuwave!":duh: :D

Speaking of Conan, isn't that 10 year anniversary special on tomorrow? I remember watching that show from day one--he disparages the very early years but I think the show was even better then. They took some incredible risks and had an absurdist sensibility that has been scaled-back since.

Alright..I need to speak up in behalf of the fabulous David Letterman..I think he's fucking hilarious!! He plays it straight and just cracks me up..Since his surgery, he seems to just not give a poop anymore about a lot of stuff..Why else would he have two models, the hula hoop girl, and the grinder girl for the Will It Float thing (I got both right, by the way!!)?? It doesn't make sense, which makes it so damn funny!!And when he has a female guest that he thinks is hot, he flirts so much..It's great..Paul is lame, and that Stump the Band thing was totally lame, but Dave is top notch in my book for sure! But, Paul will always have my props for his appearance in Spinal Tap.. "Just kick me in the ass"..:D

No, the Conan anniversary show is next Sunday (the 14th).

I think there was some misinfo about this somewhere along the way. I thought it was tomorrow too, but found out last night it's not.

(Instead of watching Whoopi, I watched Conan with Leno, that's how I found out.)

(Conan's show is the best. I've been watching it regularly since it started too. I don't think it's dropped a beat at all.)

Some newsgroup quotes I found funny:

"Oh man, Bill, if you can, can we get a Still Shot of Bruce and Chez in the
bandstand during Ima Robot's performance, with what I like to think is a "What
the hell?" stance? LOL."

"So, no cape thing this week ... I kinda want to hate Ima Robot for that,
because their 90-120 seconds could've easily been forgone. I promise I'll
never buy that CD on a binge buy. I even commented, it's a little too early
for them to start sucking on national television ... the CD hasn't even been
released yet ... the plug can still be pulled!"

"Ima Robot ... I give this performance * 1/2 (out of four)."
