Axis - Boston
Song #1
Dirty Life
The STD Dance
A is for Action
Alive
Scream
Dynomite
Black Jettas
12=3
Here Come the Bombs
Order may not be correct, except for the first two and the last two which are.
It was a really good show, they are much more intense live than I expected! Crowd wasn't as into it though as I'd have hoped. Alex even
commented on it, the crowd was too "cautious." There were a few people there for Ima Robot though. I like Hot Hot Heat ok, but everything
they do well, Ima Robot does better. Ima Robot totally made both the other bands sound like wimps.
Fun stuff:
1. At the end of the show, Joey destroyed his drum kit and picked up one of the drum stands and threw it on the ground... when it unexpectedly
bounced... straight into the crowd... fortunately nobody lost an eye.
2. During that beginning "axis of evil" speech of "Here Come the Bombs," Alex realized we were in the Axis Club and got a kick out
of it. I don't think most people in the audience had any idea what he was talking about... mainly because his vocals were a little fuzzy.
3. Chatted with JMJ a little before the show, which was cool of him. They all signed stuff at the merch table after their set too.

That's an early play for STD Dance, the same happened here in Minneapolis, as I recall.
Yeah, that intensity is always so surprising, they do it so consistently but it's always a bit of a shock how much energy they are able to
produce and maintain. It's even more obvious when they go on after a band or two--it almost doesn't matter who the bands are, Ima
Robot's skill and electricity overpower everyone.
